Another day, and more rain...
This was the radar downtown when we were awakened by loud thunder (and being in a high-rise, it has to be loud for us to hear it) at 5:30am. We had FOUR INCHES of rain in town. It slowed down and stopped for a couple of hours but now it's getting overcast again. 2nd Family said we had another inch or so overnight out at the farm. It's good for the fruit trees for sure, and the grass, and replenishing the aquifers, but it would be better during the week.
Love this photo Sesame Street tweeted out yesterday. They are awesome!
A side note to a friend of the blog that I'm trying to reach. If JM, our "nearby neighbor" and my "bee buddy" is reading this, drop me a line at the email over on the side of the blog. I tried to reach you a few times but the email bounced back.
Hope to hear from you, thanks!!!

It's funny, I hope for rain on weekends to keep the tourists away from our little (usually) quiet village! Then again, we don't leave the house often so we can enjoy the week here too. I hope you get some sunshine next weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteFunny how rain can be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on what we need. Of course I guess ultimately, it always is a good thing because, water!
DeleteThat is A Lot of rain at one time. You may need a canoe yet to get back and forth to work in. :}
ReplyDeleteWe received 1 1/2 inches.
Love the picture of the Sesame Street characters; They are Lined up looking like a rainbow. How fitting with the rain that is going on.
Just now made them microwave Bread N Butter Pickles.
Enjoy your day and stay safe.
LOL! We almost did but it was a sunny afternoon and things drained away and dried up (more or less). Enjoy the pickles!!! Yummy!!!
Deleteeven the storm tracker in pix #1 is rainbow colored! :)
ReplyDeleteLOL I never thought about that, it is! ha!!
DeleteSaw that Sesame Street tweet, loved it. Happy Pride weekend, stay dry and plan for the future at the farm and you'll get it all done in time.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Sesame Street was awesome to do that. Thank you, we take baby steps each weekend and it's one step closer.
DeleteHot and humid again today in Northern Florida, but no rain. I wish a certain someone would mow the yard before the rain starts again. We're supposed to have more tomorrow. I love the Sesame Street rainbow.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Ha, I hope you get your yard mowed. Who should we call? LOL! Stay cool!!!
DeleteIts overly warm and humid but the sun is out right now. I am afraid to say there is no rain today for fear of jinxing the rest of the day!
ReplyDeleteDon't jinx it. Hope you got the day you wanted!!!
DeleteI am 50 miles north of Anne. The rain is gone until Thursday. It did stay pretty and dry all Sunday.
ReplyDeleteJust saw this, good news. Stay safe!!
DeleteIllinois had lots of rain last week. Really slowed our garden planting. Now its sunny and cool and we are working till dark every night, because the weeds...are taking over!
ReplyDeleteIf we could somehow take the resilience of weeds and combine with veggies and flowers and fruit trees, wouldn't it be nice? Ha. Can't wait to see the outcome!!
Delete1st Man,
ReplyDeleteWe need some of your rain!!! But not all at once okay :P
Love the Sesame Street rainbow.
It was cute wasn't it? I hope you get some gentle rain!!
