VALENTINES DAY DAYTONA 500 BLIZZARD WARNING

Yep, all three.

Happy Valentines Day to all.  Certainly different than last year at this time.

Regular readers know we enjoy NASCAR.  We're watching today.  Of course as this posts, a huge crash stopped the race and now it's pouring rain there in Daytona.  If we had to guess, this race will be run tomorrow.  It could be a night race too.  We'll see.

And on top of all that, Houston has been issued, for the first time in history, a blizzard warning.  Stores have closed, mass transit has shut down and the Mayor has told everyone that unless it's a dire emergency, everyone needs to stay home today and tomorrow and into Tuesday.  Thankfully Adrian and I can (and will) both be working from home.  He'll be working from home all week and I'll be here Monday and Tuesday for sure, we'll have to see how the week progresses.

Update tomorrow on both the weather and the first part of the weekend.

Stay warm and safe !

    1. Right? We know for blog readers in other areas where this is normal it's probably "huh?" But yeah, our roads aren't designed for it, our drivers don't know how to drive in it, our homes aren't built for it...it's best to just stay home and wait for it to be over, ha.

  3. It is starting to sleet here right now.
Someone has definitely left the door open between here and the North Pole – they need to shut it!
    Y’all stay safe and warm.

  5. Turn that electric blanket on high and stay in bed as it's too darn cold to do anything anyway. Roads are bad here. They say if you don't need to get out; Don't.
Everyone stay warm & do stay safe.
1st Man, they finally flew the red flag so that the pit crews could start working on the damaged cars and around 8:30 the green flag for them to start racing again

  6. The snow is supposed to arrive in western NY this evening. However, my corporate headquarters in in Houston, and I report to Victoria and I'll tell you - this morning it has been radio silence! I'm afraid they've all been frozen solid.
