INSPIRATION THURSDAY, GREENHOUSE

Courtesy of: greenhouses.net
When we initially discussed buying land, I said that on my 'bucket list' of things to have on the property, one item would be a greenhouse.  I'm not sure when that will happen, hopefully next year, but until then, I can dream, right?

That's not to say we'd have a greenhouse like this of course, but it's a picture like this that certainly inspires me to want one.  I can only imagine how wonderful it would be to walk into something like this everyday.  Smaller, bigger, I don't care, I just want a greenhouse!  They are like little glass jewels!

Today is my blog day off, have a great day and I'll see you all back here tomorrow!

    1. Well hello Michael! Welcome to our little farm work in progress. That's very nice of you to say. Thanks, it means a lot to us.

I post something, usually a couple of things, sometimes more than a couple, every day. At least that's my goal. So on Thursdays, I set a post to come up that's a picture that inspires me for some reason related to the farm, and that's the day I take a break from writing and creating posts. So I sort of gave myself a blog day off, ha.

      Please come back and visit!

      Thanks again!!!

  3. Have always desired a green house since I can remember. What a joy indeed, must be to walk into one of these glass houses any time of day to enjoy a cup of tea on a break,or to grow exotic plants, set seeds to germinate and do plant propagation. Love it all.

    1. Hi! Thanks for stopping by. Yes, same thing here, have ALWAYS wanted a greenhouse. I can imagine in my head exactly what you said, how nice it would be to go out there amongst greenery and flowers and just enjoy the solitude. Awesome! Thanks!!!

  4. Siiiggghhh...I want a greenhouse sooooo badly! I will have to live vicariously through you when you acquire one. I am considering building one with salvaged materials since they are so costly to purchase. Such a lovely dream...don't wake me...

    1. I know right? If I'm dreaming I don't want to wake up. Ha. I saw your posting about the greenhouses, loved the recycled ones too! I don't know if I have that in me to build, ha. We need a small barn first, for outdoor tools/equipment/etc so that will probably be next year and my greenhouse will have to wait until after that. Siiiiiigh, ha. You might get yours before me! Thanks for stopping by!!!

  6. As a stop-gap measure they sell these green-house tents. Back before she moved to this end of the world, my mother was looking at them. Not as good as the real thing, certainly not as beautiful and elegant as your picture, but better than a kick to the head.

  7. Someday. ..when we stop traveling. . .and as a stop gap to the real thing, I will design a start up greenhouse with PVC pipe and viscayne (you know, that heavy clear plastic). . .it's where I will start my tomatoe plants and bell peppers. . .

Looking forward to reading more about your gardening. . .so I can live vicariously. . .for a while!

    1. Wouldn't that be fun?? I'll be starting my garden (albeit smaller) here in the city in the next couple of weekends. It's several small raised beds. I'm going ot eventually work on building the gardens at the farm, but figure they won't get done in time for the Spring gardening season so I hope to have a Fall garden out there.

Hey, you guys are going RV'ing, I'd love to do that someday!

  8. I so want a fancy-dancy greenhouse...not the pvc pipe and plastic I have now. Ahhh...in my future, maybe my near future.
