No confession here. I detest ironing so as soon as it's dry the hang-up clothes will go up. I have been known to leave a few socks...one of my least favorite items.
Oh, no. That would make me insane. I retrieve the laundry from the dryer the moment the buzzer sounds and immediately hang or fold it and put it away. Dirty clothes go in a hamper, clean clothes go in a drawer or closet. The end.
I keep up with my laundry. I don't even user own a clothes dryer so all my clothes are hung up hangers to dry. Clothes dryers use a lot of electricity plus they wear out our clothes quicker. I do laundry at least twice a week. As my laundry room sign says; 'Laundry today . . . Naked Tomorrow.'
Ha, love that!!! No dryer? Hmm...do you dry outside in the sun on nice days? I'll have to think about that. Maybe we can do something like that at the farm someday (we don't have a dryer out there and no space for one anyway).
Yep, that's true, it's like a magnet. We usually leave it in the laundry room with the door closed, ha. At the house, here we put it in the guest room with the door closed, LOL!
Mostly in Australia we line dry our washing, I fold it straight away or YES the cat will lie on it ! Ikea have a rack that can be attatched to the wall over the laundry tub to hang a heap of stuff on to drip dry, good idea.
Oh, that's neat (the Ikea item) we have an Ikea here, I'll have to look for that. We obviously can't have line dried clothes here at the apartment now but we can at the farm. I thought about putting up a laundry line and taking wet clothes out there to dry on the weekend, ha. Nothing like sun dried sheets....mmm!!!
Guilty-way too much of the time. I want to move to more drying on hangers and then the bulk will be there ready to go, but then there will be oh so much more ironing which I detest.

I am working through this very thing. The basket is about empty and the dirty clothes are piling up on the floor. sigh.
ReplyDeleteGlad to know it's not just us, ha.
DeleteA lot of the time I will dump a load of laundry on a guest bed, then get distracted and forget about it for a day..
ReplyDeleteOh, we've done that too. Out of sight out of mind, ha.
DeleteOr it never even makes it out of the dryer! I have a few towels and washcloths in there right now.
ReplyDeleteWe've lived out of the dryer many times, ha.

ReplyDeleteYou are a good launderer, ha. I love folding socks though.
DeleteAnd I thought I was the only one who did that! :)
ReplyDeleteWe are not alone, let's stand proud! HA!

ReplyDeleteAnother good laundry person. I'd LIKE to be like that but alas, we aren't. We'll try to be better.
Deletei am with dkzody....i like to fold my cloths so they look like i just bought them. messy laundry drives me crazy.
ReplyDeleteOh my, I wonder if we could pay someone to do that for us? LOL! We'll try to be better. :-)

DeleteNah. Any laundry basket with clothes left in becomes a cat bed. I don't like doing the laundry enough to do it again.

DeleteI used to hang my clean clothes on hangers in the laundry room and drop in just before my shower to pick out my outfit for the day.
ReplyDeleteWell, at least you almost got it to the closet, ha.
Deleteyep, we do that too. sometimes we pull something warm right from the dryer! and the cats leave the baskets of clean/dirty laundry alone.
ReplyDeleteOoh, on a cold day, warm stuff from the dryer is awesome, ha. And yes, cats can be fickle about that. I think it depends on their mood. :-)

DeleteMy husband is the ironer so no, I can't do that:)
ReplyDeleteLucky you!!

ReplyDeleteHate ironing too...we do like letting things dry on hangers from time to time but you're right, much more ironing that way.
