POTTING ARMOIRE, INSPIRATION THURSDAY

Last week, I posted about a table in the

This one comes from Martha Stewart Living.  I actually have the original article I cut from the magazine back in 1998 when it came out and I saved all this time.  Told you I've been thinking about this property for a long time, LOL.

Thankfully, with the internet, you can click HERE to read the article that it came from.  I love this idea.  With the big porch we have, I think we could very easily find something that would work just like this.  A place to keep some outdoor potting supplies, but also a place to keep perhaps supplies for outdoor use.  Yard games?  Outdoor dining supplies?  Candles?  Bug prevention items?
The possibilities are endless.

Have a great day!
Be inspired!

  1. A great idea, however, a good place for varmints and the like to get in and hide and you would be surprised. One needs to be careful when putting their hands into things in spaces like this, spiders, scorpions, lizards, even possibly snakes. Just saying. Have a great week.

  2. I have such a country porch and a cupboard like that above. And today because YOU have inspired me, it's going on my porch...and no worries about "varmints" as we have several cats that roam the porch looking for the next kitchen scrap.

  4. 1st. I saw your post on "Stay at Home Gardener's blog" about a fire place. For a larger place like yours I would look into a "Soap Stone wood Stove" They heat up fairly fast and hold the heat in the stove for a long time. They would be way too large for a place like Cloud's but would work great in a full size house. The one he has would require far more work to maintain a constant fire. They both install basicly the same but would be a better fit for the farm. Frank from Virginia

  6. A place outdoors to keep bug spray and games would be great. I like the idea of the armoire.

  7. My uncle had one of these set up too. They are a great idea. Now I am torn: potting table or potting shed? Perhaps both!
