Here are two random, but fun, thrift store finds.
Metal "Fresh Eggs" sign |
Found this fun metal sign for $2.00. Hey, we don't have fresh eggs yet, but it seemed like something fun to put up. It's certainly not old, it's one of those reproduction signs, but still a neat conversation piece to put above the sink.
Metal desk bell |
OK, this might seem weird, and I have no idea what we'll do with it, but I always thought it would be neat to have one of these. It's a metal bell, the kind you might find on an old hotel reservation desk. This one has a red metal base which fits the kitchen perfectly so I took it as a sign, LOL.
For $2.75, I couldn't pass it up.
oh wow....great finds. i love both of them!
ReplyDeleteThat little bell could be the dinner bell for the folks who are currently inside. ha.. Love your bog!

1st Man,
ReplyDeleteLovely thrift store finds!!!
I can see you know hitting that bell, oh 2nd Man.........what's for dinner!!!!
You do find some interesting things thrift shopping!
ReplyDeleteNo good me looking as I am decluttering & not spending, but I love seeing yours!!
Both of those are great. Use the little bell as a form of celebrating, like when I great dish comes out of the oven or the cake did not fall.
ReplyDeleteLove any type of bell. Reminds me of George Bailey and Clarence! laura
ReplyDeleteAwesome finds! I just love going to thrift stores & finding something unique. Last year I found a metal sign - similar in style to your Fresh Eggs sign - that had a vintagy snowman on it with the phrase "No Peeking!". We placed it on the mantel right next to the tree & it quickly became one of my favourite pieces of Christmas decor.
ReplyDeleteThat's so awesome!! i wish I still had all the red and white vintage farmhouse decor from years ago. I got rid of it some years back. Regretting it now... :(
