INSPIRATION THURSDAY, RED POTTING SHED

Red Potting Shed, image courtesy of: The Two Seasons

This is one of my favorite things I've found while surfing.  This is the potting shed of a landscape architect (imagine that) in Kentucky.

I have always loved the idea of a stand alone building as a potting shed, at least a building you can go in and walk around, with windows and a real roof.  And of course it will have to be surrounded by a white picket fence.

I'm sure a building like this doesn't come cheap, but oh how I'd love to have one, someday.  I'll put it on the bucket list.

Enjoy your day!

  1. Potting sheds are great if they are open and airy. I had one with two teeny windows and a door. Hotter than Hades in there!! I'd run in get my pots & dirt and do my potting in the yard, LOL! Maybe you could modify the design with sliding barn doors? That would get you some nice cross breeze or at the very least some fresh air :)

    1. Hmm, great advice from someone with experience. I will remember that when the time comes. I guess windows and doors on all four sides are the most important thing. Thanks!!

  2. Love the RED color. Right up your alley!!!! I think Linda is correct....needs lots of air to flow from one side to the other. Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend.
