Flowers in a cutting garden, image courtesy of babble.com |
For today, I just needed to see some pretty flowers.
Not sure why, I just need some color in my life. It's probably the midweek work blues and the longing for the weekend at the farm, even though the farm doesn't have color like this yet, other than various shades of green.
Not sure what flowers these are, maybe some larkspur in there? Anyone have ideas? I might need to try to recreate something like this sometime, ha.
Hope you are having a good week.
Be inspired!
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe tall purple daisy-ish ones in the back are cosmos.
Cosmos! Thank you!
DeleteAnd I spy some cosmos, foxglove and larkspur.
ReplyDeleteWHat a riot of color---I love it!
I saw the larkspu, missed the foxglove (well, saw it but didn't know what it was called, ha). Thank you!!
DeleteI think I see some hollyhocks in there too.
ReplyDeleteOoh, missed those, thanks!!
DeleteIn Arizona this time of year I'm planting zinnias and sun flowers. My black eyed susans are blooming in this heat still. Not much else with this heat and it will be getting hotter.
ReplyDeletezinnias do well in heat? I will check those out, thank you. I just want some color in the yard.
Delete1st Man,
ReplyDeleteI love Black Eye Susan's and they do great I Texas. There all over running wild in the DFW areas.
A garden like that must be a constant pleasure!
