So the other day at lunch, I stopped in HOMEGOODS, a discount store with home related things for sale, and I found these bargains.
First up are these awesome bottles. One is for milk, and is embossed with the words "absolutely pure milk" on one side and a cow on the other side, and the other bottle is for juice, and it's embossed with the words "jus de fruits". I think they will look great for using at the farm. We'll wash them and keep them in the fridge out there so they are ready for use when we need them. Very neat!
The other find we just loved immediately. It's a framed print that says "The Most Important Things Aren't Things". How true is that? Best of all, it's in the perfect colors for the bedroom, blue, white and black, and the background detail looks like old, weathered boards. It will be the centerpiece of the collage wall I'm working on. It will mean so much when surrounded by pictures of friends and family.
Love both of these finds!
ReplyDeleteI knew when I saw them they were perfect. I love that feeling, ha. Thanks!!
Deletegreat finds!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!
DeleteI covet your milk bottle. Milk seems to keep colder and fresher in glass than it does in plastic. I sometimes put mine in canning jars, but they don't pour so well.
ReplyDeleteLOL! I'll keep my eyes open for more. Canning jars is a great idea, especially with those cool screw on lids I blogged about awhile back. But it is better colder, ha. .
DeleteHave you seen the new Ball blue pint jars? I love the milk bottle and want one for myself.
Deletei love all three finds! but i especially love the print - you are right - it is really going to have such meaning when it is on your collage wall. good job!
ReplyDeleteyour friend,
kymber
Thanks, it's going to go right on the center of the wall. I'm collecting frames now (finding them at thrift stores and tag sales) and then I'll paint them and load them up with pictures. Another project I'm currently working on. Thank you sweet Kymber! Hugs to you and J!
DeleteI have a Home Goods here that I stop in whenever I'm in the vicinity. I've gotten some nice things for myself and others there. Most of the statues in my perennial garden are from there.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, they have some great statues and yard stuff. It's a fun store for sure. My problem is there is one about 2 miles from my office, ha. Must. Resist.
DeleteI love your finds!!!! Using glass to store your milk makes it seem so much colder when you use it. I have my milk in glass similar containers.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it? I never really thought it would make much difference until we did it. Everything stays so much colder and nice. Thank you!!!
DeleteDang it, neighbor took me to Home Goods recently, I wasn't going to buy anything came out spending $48 and now I want to go back, I want a milk bottle like that or two.
ReplyDeleteOops, sorry to cause you a greater expense, LOL. I know your feeling, I have one close to me at lunch and the temptation is to go daily. I swear they get new stuff every few days it seems, ha.
DeleteGreat finds! I love the sign-it's perfect!
ReplyDeleteAww, thanks, it's one of those that as soon as I saw it that it was meant to be. I mean, the colors are amazingly perfect too. Heck, it's even in a black frame. ;-)
DeleteThanks!!
I love the bottles! I am into them lately, though I have restrained myself because of storage space. As soon as I reorganize and cull in the kitchen, I can get some bottles. I used to have a glass cream bottle from a dairy that I poured my cream in (out of the paper carton). I lost it when I gave it to our neighbors with a bit of cream as part of the fridge clean-out before a vacation. Her husband recycled it when they finished the cream. :( I should have put a note on it instead of just telling the wife I wanted it back! I still mourn that cream bottle!
