Get Hot, Vintage poster, image courtesy of US National Archive |
Here is a WWII poster with a message to those reading it. During the war, the Government wanted to inspire people to work harder for the war effort, and that included the workers in factories and similar places.
"Get Hot and Keep Moving, Don't Waste a Precious Moment"
The first part of that wouldn't be so hard this time of year in these parts, but because of the first part, the second part of that phrase doesn't really happen as much, LOL.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend.
More later today from our neck of the woods!
Doesn't take much to "get hot" here, either. And maybe if I could go shirtless, I would "keep moving." But I don;t want to frighten the neighbors! ;)
ReplyDeleteLOL! I totally understand, ha.
DeleteThat's more like it!
ReplyDeleteHa, I was hoping you'd stop by! I try to find something to your liking, but it's getting harder and harder.
DeleteIt's raining in my neck of the woods.....Arizona!
ReplyDeleteRaining? YAY FOR YOU! I know y'all need it. We actually had some showers, scattered but some showers.
Delete1st Man,
ReplyDeleteWhen it's extreme heat, I would rather sit in a pool instead of work hard, lol
The only problem with that, I don't have a pool.
I have been thinking, those $15.00 kids pools sound so inviting!!!
HA! I understand that one. You know, some water in any thing is not a bad way to cool off. :-)
