As I type this, in downtown of course, this is our view...we are seeing some of the most unbelievable lightning out the windows and the streets around the building are starting to flood...this long weekend is not shaping up to be what we had hoped.
Parts of the area have had 19" of rain...hail...lightning...and tornadoes.
This is the radar image at 3pm, it's been like this almost all day long. Still waiting to get in touch with 2nd Family, they are OK, got a message out, but have been without power and will send us pics as soon as they can. Not sure when we'll make it to the farm.
It's either drought or deluge in Texas! Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteSo true about Texas....Thanks!!!!
DeleteYikes! I hope everyone comes through this ok - all that red is never a good sign :(
ReplyDeleteYep, it was a deluge for sure. Thank you!

We haven't had nineteen inches of rain this year...
Thank you. Isn't weather crazy??
DeleteHoly Smokes, Batman! That is a boatload of rain! How good are your swimming skills? I have an extra snorkel if you need it. Be careful and don't drive over flooded bridges!
ReplyDeleteThank you, yep, too much rain. They repeat to us on the news here, 'turn around don't drown'. Sadly some people still try it and it's so distressing. Thanks for the well wishes!
Deletehad heard the storms where heading your way as well. Also heard on the news about the damage, power outages and also 130 year old tree that had gone done on someone's house in the Houston area.
ReplyDeleteWe had quite the lightening show here as well in early morning hours yesterday. I unplugged our computer and my coffee maker to be on safe side of which I always do when he have lots of lightening surrounding us.
We ended up with 3 1/2 inches.
Stay safe. No mowing this weekend and the way it sound we have a full week of rain coming in next week.
