I don't get it. I really don't. And the sad thing is most of the new coverage has gone back to regular programming, like "oh well, it's another shooting, and now the weather....." So sad.
I'm with you. There comes a point where you just get numb to it. And I hate that feeling. I want to be upset and then I just feel so helpless. The gun culture in this country is obscene. The sad thing is a large majority want sensible gun rules but congress is so beholden to the gun lobby.
I feel so helpless. Our nation is stymied to do anything. When will it ever end? Why does it need to just be a factor of life in the US? Other countries have dealt with it successfully - Australia for example. What is the gun lobby so afraid of?
I remember watching the news from Ireland when violence was the norm. I never thought I would see this in America. Banning guns is not the solution. That I know. This is all so sad.

ReplyDeleteYou said it exactly right, another day another shooting and sadly life goes on to the next story of the day.

DeleteI am very sorry. So many lights extinguished for no reason, so much pain and suffering for nothing. So very sad.
