WATER PUMP WATER FEATURE INSPIRATION THURSDAY

Every Thursday we like to post a picture of something we've found online that inspires us to do something similar at the farm. Sort of our own blog bulletin board so that we can eventually look back and someday, hopefully anyway, recreate it...enjoy!

This is cute.  My grandmother had one of these tubs and had flowers growing in it in later years, ha.  I do love this idea of using it as a water feature, a fountain, combined with the old pump and it looks cool in the rock covered area.

Be inspired!

  1. What a cool idea.
I have a red pump just like that; was the one we used to use in the kitchen when I was very young as that was the only running water we had. So for dishes, etc. we had to pump the water into pans, heat on the stove for us to wash our dishes, take baths, etc. as we had no hot water faucet, only water from the well.

  2. I have a full size pump that I made into a water feature. I really like the sounds.

  3. I love the pump. I have two of those tubs, plus stand, plus wringer as part of my off-grid laundry set up. Haven't used it yet, cuz the old electric washer is easier, lol.

  4. I LOVE this idea! It would make such a wonderful water feature in your yard at the Farm.
I have a tub just like that - got it at a “junktique” place years ago. I just have those lilies that you see in ditches in it - I think they are spider lilies.
