Here is a little gift 2nd Man got for me.
I'm not sure where he bought them, as I didn't ask, but they do sell them on Amazon, you can CLICK HERE to see what they sell there.
They are made to transfer pickles, olives, etc from the standard refrigerator jars into these to make them easier to serve without fishing around in the liquid.
The reason 2nd Man bought them is he thought they would be great for my quick pickled onions...and he was right! I just flip the jar up, slice up my onions and put them in the dry jar. Next, I made my brine...
Then I pour the brine in and screw on the lid and then comes the fun part...
...flip it upside down! All the liquid fills up the portion with the onions and they can "do their thing". Then when you serve, you flip it back the other way and have a mess free way to get out what you need.
We have two, small and large. The large works great for my pickled red onions. I'll figure out a use for the smaller one. Maybe pickled jalapeños?
Those look like handy jars to have for messy things I hate to get out of jars.

I remember you said you both were scaling down Christmas since you were building a house and he did well to think of something simpler but with great intent behind it. I think I might look into these, I had trying to capture that last pickle in the jar. Thanks, Luv Janie V
