As this posts, areas to the north and West (possibly the farm!) are having snow flurries and freezing precipitation. We'll hear from 2nd Family later to see how things are going out there. The line of sleet and snow is very near the farm so we shall see.
As for Houston, no bad weather like that but it's damp and cold and supposed to rain daily heavily this afternoon. That's the worst kind of cold weather.
We broke out the fuzzy socks. They feel great. The shark ones we got last Summer we wore las week and they are in the laundry basket, forgot to get a picture.
This week, with our first blast of Winter and freezing temps, it was time to break out the velvet soft sheets. My goodness, we don't want to get up in the mornings to go to work, they are so nice and snuggly warm. We only have this one set so the other day, we ordered another King size set in ivory color. We figure two are all we need at the new house. One always clean and one on the bed and then just swap out as needed.
In the cold months only of course, ha.
And we never forget about sweet Hobart. When he's on the couch next to us (he alternates, ha), he has a warm fuzzy blanket that we cover him up with. We figure if we're cold, he probably is too.
ALL schools closed in and around the area. Having sleet with snow flurries mixed in and sitting at 33 deg. at the moment.
ReplyDeleteThose that came down from Ohio to be at the football game think is nothing to what Ohio gets.
Right now receiving a hard rain shower. Good day to do some baking being not able to much of anything else.
Everyone; Take care, stay safe and stay warm.
Always love to see Hobart. He’s a lucky kitty! Now that I’m in my “golden” years I find I cannot go without socks on my feet. Yours look very comfy.
ReplyDeleteCloudy and 33° up here in S. CO today! Monday's snow is melting slowly with these cold temps!
ReplyDeleteI love the red socks. Hobart is an old man! Thank you for keeping him warm and content.
