HOMEMADE EVERYTHING PBJ

Recently, we made some peanut butter in our Vitamix using only roasted peanuts.  I told 2nd Man that we already had the homemade dewberry jam so all we needed was some homemade sandwich bread.  A few days later, he decided to take me up on the challenge.

Homemade white bread...

Cut two slices of bread and spread one half with peanut butter and the other half with dewberry jam.
All homemade PB&J sandwich
Put the two halves together, cut it in half and serve with a cold glass of milk (sadly NOT homemade but at least organic and hormone free, ha).

Gooey, luscious, memories of childhood.
It's truly comfort food.

  1. Wonderful!! Well done. And, perhaps next time you can buy some cream from a local farmer and make your own butter ;) (warning - making butter manually is very tiring LOL)

    1. I do it with a hand mixer, (butter) it's very easy

    2. Thank you both! I only made butter once, just a random fun experiment, using some cream in a mason jar and about 20 minutes of shaking. I thought it wasn't going to happen until it magically did. Kind of amazing. You've reminded me that we need to try this again, on a larger basis.

    1. They were great!! Sorry about your peanut allergy, but yes, it is SO easy. And we haven't done cashews yet but it's the same process. The best part is that it comes out of the vitamin warm, which makes it even better, ha.
