Recently, I posted about clearing an area in the bee yard to have a bench. I've been looking online for photos and this is something I actually found a few years back, before we even had bees. I looked at it and thought this would be a nice way of setting up something. We'd definitely need a wooden bench like this because anything with metal is just 'dangerously' hot in the Summer here. We love the white pots of flowers and white accessories. Something like this would match the beehives too, and that would be way cool.
Now we just need to find a bench. We actually have some vintage white metal plant stands that we could use to accessorize so that's a good first step. The all white theme just looks so clean and inviting, I think that might be what we go with, at least in that area.
Be inspired!
If you wants rustic, you could make your own with some downed trees.
ReplyDeleteThis looks very inviting.
You know we've thought about that, but most of the trees on our property are mesquite and there isn't much we could use. At least not without some serious woodworking, ha. Inviting is a good word huh? I like that!
Deletethat would be perfect. there are some really nice ones on pinterest made from pallets.
ReplyDeletePallets? Really? I will check that out! Thank you!!
DeleteWhite has a definite coolness to it which is perfect for steaming hot summer days, plus it just looks nice. It has a timelessness to it that other colors just don't.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I never thought about that but your'e right, maybe that's what I like about it too, the subconscious part of me knows they will be cool in our crazy heat.
DeleteI love this all-white look. It is so cool and refreshing. The summer items are going on sale, so that’s even better. Another good place to find something like this would be flea markets or estate auctions.
ReplyDeleteCool and refreshing! Love it! Are you telling me I need to go shopping? OK, I'll tell 2nd Man that it's all your doing. ;-)
DeleteI prefer wooden benches over metal. Wonderful inspiration to sit and have a nice cold glass of lemonade or an ice cold beer
ReplyDeleteFind some old chairs or an old headboard and make a quick and easy bench just by recycling / repurposing old, unused items.

I like how you think, ha. And as always, thank you for the links. Off to check them out!!
DeleteThat's very pretty. I have more grass in my backyard this summer than last. If I ever get grass in the entire yard, perhaps I'll put a bench in the shade of the largest tree.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Yay for you! More grass is always a good thing huh? And you'll need a bench to enjoy the green view!! ;-)
DeleteOooooh I like that!
ReplyDeleteI would be very tempted to sit out there with a cool drink & meditate!
Of course it would have to be warm not like our weather at the moment.
Yes, the weather is definitely not conducive to meditating for sure, ha. A cool drink for sure!
DeleteIt does look good. Very good. And tempting.
ReplyDeleteTemptation!! ;-)
DeletePerfect bench for you!
