Well, I managed to get a lot more done today than I had expected, including all the mowing!
I got there about 8:30am..and it was blue skies. But this was the sky as I was mowing the driveway, about 1pm. It was definitely beat the clock.
I literally got in the car, closed the door and it started raining.
Talk about perfect timing!
This was the sky headed back into town...
...and then there were reports on the news of a funnel cloud sighting. I'm not sure if that's what I saw the end of here (traffic was stopped, maybe that's why), but it was definitely making me think "what do I do if"...
Thankfully, made it back into town safely!
More later this weekend!
UPDATE:
Beef Stew |
Yummy food! It started in the ingredient stack as a beef roast and vegetables but 2nd Man decided to morph it into a stew. It was delicious!
Getting the mowing done is a good job to get out of the way. Glad you made it back to town safely.
ReplyDeleteThat bottom photo sure don't look good. Hopefully it has gotten better and that you don't receive bad storms.
Take care.
We had rain but nothing too bad, though areas up to the North of us apparently have had lots of rain and some hail. By the way, updated the post with dinner pic. :-)
DeleteOH, YUM! That looks De-lish.
DeleteI was wondering where the food picture was at :}
that sky looks scary!
ReplyDeleteI know, it was kinda scary driving into it, ha.
DeleteWow, those are some ominous clouds! That part dipping down from the cloud does look like a tornado trying to form. Your timing was perfect - I’m glad the weather held off until you got everything done at the Farm.
ReplyDeleteI got more done than I thought I might. But it was still cut short. Though my body appreciated the "cut short" part, ha. I updated this post with a pic of dinner!!!
DeleteThere's nothing better than to come home to such a delicious meal after working all day! YUM!
DeleteI love it when the rain starts after I get into the car instead of a minute beforehand.
ReplyDeleteI know right?? I love that first drop you feel hit your arm or head just as you pull the door closed, ha.
DeleteYou guys should do a cook book. Those dinner posts look fabulous. Call it dinner after a day at the farm. Maybe that is too long of a title but you get my drift.
ReplyDeleteI like that title, that would be fun. Who knows what future holds!
DeleteWow-scary looking clouds to run from. The dinner looks delucious-stew perhaps?
ReplyDeleteYes, I should have labeled it, yep, it was going to be a beef roast and veggies, but 2nd Man decided to turn it into a stew. The skies were scary but thankfully nothing bad came of it.
DeleteThose skies looked treacherous ! Glad you avoided the rain, at least while mowing!
ReplyDeleteYep, and as soon as it started thundering, I knew to get out from under the trees but thankfully was pretty much done. I left a few un-mowed spots but that's ok.
