GOOD FOOD AND FOGGY HOBART SUNDAY

Didn't need to go to the farm, nothing to do out there now.  Yesterday was beautiful (but cold)...

...today is crazy foggy!  Took this about an hour ago and then took this one a few minutes ago:

We might not be able to see anything in another hour, ha.  We are under a dense fog advisory.

Ya think?  Ha!

Sometimes, simple is delicious.  2nd Man made some wheat bread and we had some leftover things in the fridge.  We decided on a BLT of sorts.  This is toasted wheat bread, smashed avocado, micro greens, pico de Gallo (tomatoes, onions, jalapeño), turkey bacon (99% fat free, instead of the 94%) and egg whites.

Healthy and satisfying.

Hobart was sitting next to me on his fuzzy blanket and I got his attention so I could get another nice picture of him.  Not bad looking for 19 years old!  Because...

  1. Good going Hobart, that's a great age for a cat! My cats...I had 6,all at the same time, all female and all lived to 18 cos...not spoiled either! Boy I thought we had bad fogs in Scotland and here in Wales sometimes but that's a shocker! So stay cosy. x

  2. We did have what they called Freezing Fog here yesterday morning. (droplets coming down and creating black ice on the roadways.)
Lovely photo of Hobart. Great picture of him to have on calendar as well.
Delicious looking BLT sandwich by the way.
Enjoy your evening and have a wonderful week.
    Stay safe and stay warm

  3. Delicious meal out of refrigerator leftovers! Especially with the homemade bread.
Beautiful picture of Hobart. He looks great for 19 - which is 92 in human years!

  4. First time posting, though have been reading for several years. Hobart pics are something I always look forward to. I lost my 16 year old Eddie (kitty) two days before Christmas. A sad Christmas, indeed. Hobart looks wonderful for 19.
The food looks great....and very healthy! I became a vegetarian 1.5 years ago and have lost 80 lbs. Plus, lots of walking, too.
Good luck with your new house build. It looks like it'll be Home and Garden worthy!
Hope that fog dissipated quickly. Freezing cold and snow in NE Ohio. Give Hobart a hug for me.

  5. It is great you two eat healthful food. Hobart looks great to be so old. I am quite sure your care is part of the reason for his long life. Does he ever look out windows from so high?
