MASTER BATHROOM AND SHOWER NEW HOUSE UPDATE

With the end of the project coming quickly, we need to show more of the house.  This is a good one, the master bathroom and shower.

Here's the sink side.  Lots of storage!  The mirrors don't have the frames around them yet but it all looks great.  We love the floors!

Here you can get a glimpse of the shower, walking into the bathroom.  Door straight ahead is the closet and the door on the side is the water closet.

Here it is!  A nice, large, walk in shower.  One thing we were so impressed with was how the tile installers chose pieces to keep a "flow" going in the same direction.  It makes it look almost like it's one piece cut into sections.  It would have been really easy to just put them in and not think about the finished look.  Excellent work there!  We also have a bench, great lighting, and a window.  Keep in mind, I'm 5'9", and standing in there, I can't look straight out the window. It starts about 6 feet up.  The total height to the ceiling is 9'.

We also chose to have the tile go all the way to the ceiling for a more dramatic look.  And that it is!

We had them put in a couple of corner shelves.  Originally we said no, but when we saw them done this way, we were OK with it.  It'll keep the shampoo and stuff handy but out of the way and we don't have to have one of those things that hangs around the showerhead.

Look!  An ADA compliant grab bar that can be reached from the bench to aid in getting up and down.  It will also be nice to hold on to while standing if needed for support.  Thinking ahead to older age!

One shower head as normal and then the best part...

A rain shower head!  I haven't been able to take a shower out there right after mowing in quite a few years, this will be so nice after a long day of mowing, that's for sure!

Next time, we'll move to the kitchen!

  2. That's lovely! All those nice cabinets and drawers, and the shower is beautiful. When we built a house years ago, I'd been thinking about what I wanted for years. It was great to see it come to fruition.

    Love,

    1. Thank you for that. Yes, it will be the best place after all day outside, ha. We didn't intend for spa but we're glad that's how it came out.

    1. Thank you, we did think about a lot of it ahead of time, but not as much as we did the kitchen, ha!

  8. Stunning master bath. Better than most hotel rooms that I have seen and stayed at in years past. A person can never have too much storage areas. A bath is the envy of many wishing they had.
So; is your shower wired to play music, etc?
From the looks of things, sounds like your move in date will be coming soon. Maybe before Thanksgiving? How Wonderful that would be.
Have a great day; enjoy your evening and have a blessed weekend
    Blessing 2 U both.

    2. No speaker but we'll have an Alexa speaker. Also working on something else cool for the shower. As for moving date, it's coming soon. Maybe sooner than many realize. Announcement coming soon! :-)

And wow, what a sweet comment. We're excited to share. And hey, the best is still to come. And then we'll be out there with all new adventures.

  9. Is that really your arm with the emergency info wrist band? If it is, good to see at least part of you. As to Hayden Hays, I hate that type of irrelevant advocacy. You could delete it and block the sender. Roderick

    1. LOL! Yes, that's me. I think if you look back on occasion there have been pics. There is one here from my hospital "visit", ha. https://twomenandalittlefarm.blogspot.com/2023/12/surprise-its-me.html

And yes, Hayden's comment was deleted and he was blocked. No spam here, if we can help it, ha.
