DRIVING MR BLUE

On many Friday's, I post a picture of one of our cats.
This time it's a dog...but not ours!

Blue Dog
This is "BLUE".  He belongs to 2nd Family that live on acreage that is attached to ours.  Blue came to them as a stray (possibly dumped) puppy.  He looks kind of intimidating to strangers but to us, and them, he's usually just a big ol' goofball.  "R" from 2nd Family came down to return a tool he borrowed and he had been to the store with him.  Blue wants to go anytime the truck is started up.  He wouldn't even get out of the truck to visit me, he just wants to sit in the seat and be driven around. "R" said he just leans back and looks around.

Some pets have the life don't they?
FRIDAY is here!

  4. Looks like my Bambi. Found her in a rainstorm sitting in the ditch waiting for someone to come back. Best dog ever and lived until 18 when her body just gave out. Carried her around those last days and she even gave a little growl at a stray cat. She would ride in the front seat sitting up straight and looking out the window as not to miss a thing. Hope I get to see her again one day.

    1. Aww, that brought a tear to my eye. Thank you for sharing that and thank you for giving Bambi a home, she wasn't in that ditch waiting for someone to come back, she was waiting for you. :-)

  5. Well, Hollo there Blue. Nice to meet you.
I say he found his favorite spot to sit and relax.
My heart just breaks when people are so thoughtless when it comes to dumping or caring for their animals like that but at least Blue found himself a good home thanks to some good hearted folks.
Thanks for sharing and introducing us to Blue...............The Wonder dog

    1. Ha, the wonder dog, I'll have to tell them about that.

Yep, most of their animals, perhaps all, have come from strays or dumped. So sad.

  6. He looks so happy sitting there in his family's truck. Rescue dogs always seem so grateful for the love of their family. 2nd Family did a wonderful thing adopting him.

  7. How I wish the cats responded to car trips as well as a dog...
Blue looks very, very happy. Which is lovely.

    1. OH, we totally understand that. Heck, it's a chore just to get them into a carrier in the house, ha.

  8. Blue has such a big smile. Willy Dunne Wooters insists on taking my Franklin for rides in the car. I have a couple of great photos of Franklin at the wheel. He looks as if he would take off on his own if only his paw reached the gas pedal.

    Love,
    Janie
