Spring is in the air?
Huisache tree leafing out |
OK, it's in the leaves anyway...this is one of our Huisache trees (a tree that is related to mesquite). There is an old Indian legend that says when they finally start to leaf out, Spring is finally on the way!
I had to drive out to the farm to get the mower ready to be picked up for its annual tuneup. The sky was finally clear and blue and the tree looks like it's leafing out to us! Now of course, it means that Spring might just be on the way here, but we can't guarantee that it's coming to other parts of the country, LOL.
Spring is a chronic flirt isn't she? Maybe I am here. Maybe I am not. Peekaboo.
ReplyDeleteI hope she has indeed settled down with you though.
Amen, amen...a constant flirt. I think she is coming soon though...
Deletemy apples and cherry have buds on them so i think you are right.
ReplyDeleteI hope it's Spring for all of us soon. I'm tired of Winter gloom...
DeleteOkay, I am taking that sign for my area, too. The forsythia wants to bloom.
ReplyDeleteI hope so!! And lucky you have forsythia, it won't grow here but it's SO pretty...
DeleteMy dear hubby was going to get the mower ready today as well, but instead he put on the new doors on his workshop instead.
ReplyDeleteI think come Sunday tho he will be changing the oil, put on new mower blades and checking everything over cause just as soon as it dries out some he will be mowing the lawn and man oh man does it ever need it. He will take the old blades to Ace Hardware and have them sharpened them up.
We have a service plan, that i believe expires next year, where we get the free pick up and delivery and they do all that for us. But next year, I'll have to learn myself, ha. Now with the outbuildings, it will be much easier. There is an ace hardware not too far away, that's good to know about the sharpening. thanks!!
DeleteI am jealous. That's it....... I want spring too!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get it too!!!! :-)
DeleteOh my...we've a long way to go before we see leaves on the trees. Thanks for sharing yours.
ReplyDeleteIt'll be there before you know it! Stay warm!!! I'll have some more sharing this weekend, should be beautiful (so they say).
DeleteMy fruit trees are blooming - so they must think that Spring is near. I hope they're right!
ReplyDeleteFruit trees blooming here too. Got some pretty pics for this weekend. Looks like we finally have a nice forecast.
