PRETTY FLOWERS, INSPIRATION THURSDAY

Photo image of flowers courtesy of: www.anniesannuals.com
Hello, blogger is acting up so I am not sure how this posting will look.  If the picture comes through, that's all that really matters on the post for an "Inspiration Thursday", LOL.

We like these flowers, does anyone know their identity?  The website I found this on said they were heat loving / drought tolerant but it didn't list the flower types, go figure.

I'll keep this post short, just enjoy the flowers in the dog days of Summer!

Be inspired!

  2. The purple spikes are liatris and behind that looks like lilacs. I could tell you stories about problems with blogger. It took months to fix mine and of course, though you've done nothing different, it is all you and your computers fault. Hopefully, you'll understand the directions they give you. I have a guy called nitecruzr that works on blogger problems. Let me know if you want his website.

  5. The only one I recognized was the cosmos, but they are all lovely. Next year at the lake I hope to start establishing a wildflower garden.

    1. Thank you! Yes, we had hoped to that this Spring but it was monsoon season for weeks and weeks and weeks so we lost that opportunity.

  6. Cosmos, possibly Salvia, Bachelor's Buttons. I see what could be Canna growing through and maybe Lilac in the back. Maybe Hibiscus or something in the Mallow family.

This is the way to plant, thick, layered with the seasonal flowers so there is always something blooming.

    1. Thank YOU for that. I found the pic on a now defunct garden site. I have edited the image to show source and link to it. Thank you much!!! And the post right above you ID'd the main flower just as described on the website. Y'all are both good, ha! Thanks!

  9. We live near Annies—it's a wonderful nursery! The pink flowers in the front look like scabiosa, and cosmos on the right. Love your blog!
