SHARK WEEK 2015 IS HERE

WOO HOO!

It's time again for our favorite TV viewing of the Summer, Discovery Channel's annual tradition, "Shark Week".

Of course, we aren't near the ocean (though Galveston is not far away from us in town) and we aren't even ocean fans (we like mountains and forest kinds of trips), but we are however, fascinated with sharks and always enjoy when they air this week of shark related programming.

We have had mostly clear skies this weekend.  There were a few showers here and there but I was finally able to get a lot done outside.  It was hot and there is still a lot to do, but we did have to relax and spend some time just doing nothing, so that's a good thing.  Photos and more in the coming days!

And I'll catch up on comments!

  2. Sharks have munched on two people here in the last week.
Mind you, they were in the shark's territory so I do hope we don't, as we so often do, over-react and go into kill mode.

    1. Yep, same thing here. A few in North Carolina have been attacked. So far there hasn't been a mass call for killing them, it's more to keep the public are by warning them of the dangers.

  3. I am glad you had some successful and fun rain free time.

Aren't you glad sharks don't climb trees? They are scary creatures. I cringe when I hear of shark attacks but I think more people are killed by lightning than sharks. Doesn't make them less scary.

    1. Yep it was nice, finally! Yes, in fact one of the shows tonight talked about some crazy shark death/attach facts...and yep, more people die by lightning every year. Still doesn't make me comfortable in the ocean water so I'll just stay at the farm, ha.
