FLOWER POTTING BENCH AREA INSPIRATION THURSDAY

Every Thursday we like to post a picture of something we've found online that inspires us to do something similar at the farm. Sort of our own blog bulletin board so that we can eventually look back and someday, hopefully anyway, recreate it...enjoy!

Just a cool potting bench.
And tools.
And flowers.
And cool signs.
And decorations.

I'd like to set up something like this on a wall at the barn or shed so that I have a place to do stuff like this. Of course it's far away from where the flowers might end up being.  So I was thinking that maybe turning the area behind them into a flower garden, but that's another project for later.

EDIT: Adding photo reference source bhg.com

Be inspired!

  1. Love the rustic look of the potting bench and would be a nice set up over by your garden area.
Get yourself an old mailbox, mount on post and use the mail box to hold your garden gloves and small gardening tools.
I have mounted a mailbox with post into a large potting container and then planted low growing flowers around the top and around the post as well planted flowers around the outside base of the large container.

  4. What a pretty, charming area! It invites you in to putter and just enjoy. It needs a couple of comfy chairs so you can linger.

    1. Inviting, great description. I think most any potting bench can do that. Heck, maybe an old door across some sawhorses would work, ha.

    1. Hi there! Most of the time they are from Pinterest (as this one was which I posted) and there were no original sources and no watermark. I always try to do a reverse search and see. I need to check again and see if someone has updated it since it's been a couple years. I'll see what I can find.

    2. Updated, did a reverse search and every single entry was a Pinterest from somewhere around the world or other blogs but found someone who reference it as being from better homes and gardens. Updated accordingly. Thanks!!
