CHECK.
THIS.
OUT:
This was Wednesday.
The first framing went up!
By Thursday it looked like this!
And Saturday we drove out there...
Talk about the road/driveway going right to the house...
Pretty cool!
By the weekend, all of the basic framing was done!
Here are some photos:
Here is where the kitchen sink will be, under the window that will look out onto the front porch!
This is the master bathroom walk-in shower. There will be a transom style window at the top.
Here is the living room, looking out to the screened in porch, dining room is just visible off to the right and the kitchen is also to the right. The wall on the left will be where the TV will hang.
Here's one of our favorite parts, this is the pantry!
16' long 7' wide. Shelves along both sides all the way to a counter on the back wall. It's going to be HUGE and we can't wait to be able to get it stocked and well organized!
Here's the side where the a/c condenser unit will be and then the septic will go off to the left off of the photo.
This is the back of the house, from left to right: the grilling/cooking porch (back of the garage wall), the laundry room, the two large dining room windows, the screened in porch and the master bedroom windows on the furthest end.
And here is the front! From left to right: Master bedroom closet, guest room windows, study windows, from porch, pantry and of course, the garage!
They will continue to work, the roof framing comes next and then they said the doors and windows will go in. BUT...the weather is supposed to be rainy all week so there might not be a lot of work happening.
We have a REAL HOUSE going up!
We are on cloud nine!
How exciting. Nice view for you both coming up the driveway and seeing the framing taking shape.
ReplyDeleteI figured that the framing was beginning to take shape once the slab cured.
Won't be long before the electricians and plumbers will be out to their thing. Then comes the insolation and putting up dry wall.
Now, hopefully, with no severe weather they should move along along pretty fast to get everything enclosed and taking shape.
Take care and stay safe.
We received 2 inches over the Easter weekend and more rain in the forecast this upcoming week. Yard is about ready to be mowed............again.
We all of us share your joy and excitement - but the best is still to come. Roderick
ReplyDeleteThis is exciting.
ReplyDeleteWonderful and at last!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed ... your builders aren't wasting any time getting as much done as they can! Wow!
ReplyDeleteThat pantry ... OMG 😲
I agree with the comment that the pantry is awesome wow with as much as what your husband cooks he ought to be in hog heaven. He's probably going to never leave the pantry area. You'll have to lock the door on the pantry just to be able to see him and talk to him Hobart will love all of the windows,
ReplyDeleteWow, they got a lot done in a short time! It’s going to be so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt looks very promising! It must be so exciting to see such progress!
ReplyDeleteThat pantry!
ReplyDeleteI have always said if I had a huge pantry like yours, I would have a rolling cart so I could go in and get every single thing I needed for a meal prep at one time.
ReplyDeleteEnvy, envy, envy!!!!
It is so wonderful seeing things moving and your dreams coming up so fast. How many square feet is the house part? It looks like a big house and so well planned for living, relaxing and entertaining. I love building this house with you two, you are just taking me along in my mind as you tell the details.
ReplyDeleteWorkers that are able to work together move really fast. I had to have a new roof from the hurricane (Florida) and it took the roofing company 8 hours from start to clean up and I have a 4000 sq. foot roof.
ReplyDeleteWonderful to see your progress!
