BATHROOM MIRROR HUNG

Finally got the bathroom mirror hung up.  Yet another things to scratch of our weekend "list".  The thing weighs a ton.  OK, not literally but it is heavy and was not easy to hang up (and get level at the same time).  We had hoped for a built in, but the "hole" that was already in the wall before was too shallow for the new ones they make now.  Until I can maybe someday find an old one, the hole will be covered by this one.  We think it fits the overall style of the room.  Simple, clean lines.  Now I'm on the lookout for a small shelf that we can mount, under the mirror and above that electrical outlet, for additional storage space of smaller items.

In the mirror reflection, you can see a few (more!) of the milk glass bud vases we have.  Once we are there on a regular basis, and have fresh flowers growing outside (or I just buy some at the grocery store on the way out), I want to put a flower in each one for a pop of color against the white.  That makes the flower the star instead of the vase.  More baby steps.

    1. Um, it's behind the white paint! LOL! It may look "all white" but we're going to have color in there, no worries. Just haven't gotten to that point yet, ha. Shower curtain, rugs, accents on the curtain, shelves, pictures on the wall, etc. We'll have some color! Now as for WHAT color that is, not sure about that yet. This bath connects the master bedroom and the guest room. The guest room will be pale yellow and pink, the master will be different shades of blue, black, and a bit of yellow. This bathroom hasn't had a color scheme picked for it yet but we've got some ideas.

  3. Grocery store flowers? How could you? You live in a fabulous city for buying wonderful fresh flowers!!

And what is it with old houses and the electrical outlet right above the sink? We have one of those too.

    1. Yeah, but we have some pretty awesome grocery stores with amazing floral displays. But I'm still leaning toward our OWN flowers, ha. Fingers crossed.

  4. Your sink looks to be about 24 inches wide? If you can't find anything at the thrift stores, go to your local craft store and buy 2 brackets and a piece of wood ledge. (You can find stuff at Lowes, Home Depot and Ikea also). The cool thing is there a re a variety of brackets to enhance the style/look you are going for,
