Every Thursday, we like to post a picture of something we've found online that inspires us to do something similar at the farm.
Sort of our own blog bulletin board so that we can eventually look back and hopefully recreate it...enjoy!

We like galvanized troughs...
We like red barns...
We like sunflowers...
When we saw this picture, we knew immediately that it was pure inspiration for us at the farm. We also have a very dear friend that loves all things sunflowers and we're pretty sure she will approve. This would be an easy project. We already have the red barn, LOL!
Be inspired...
i love this idea!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. I want that galvanized tub. :} Can plant one heck of a nice herb garden in one of them babies.
ReplyDeleteSunflowers are nice for many reasons but they sure do suck up the moisture; something that you won't want to plant with other flowers, shrubs, etc as they will suck that moisture right away from the other plantings.
Nice shed in back ground there.
So cheerful-looking - makes you smile just to look at it. I love the little chicken beside the trough. This would be perfect at your Farm!
ReplyDeleteOh wow that is beautiful! You have given me so many ideas for the lake place. I can't thank you enough. (BTW, as much as I love the lake this dual house thing is wearing at times. When does the relaxation begin?)
ReplyDeleteLove it. And it will attract the birds too.
ReplyDeleteCome July we we will see Sunflowers everywhere growing along the roads, highways or out in fields. I think sunflowers is a perfect addition to a xeriscape garden. Seems they survive with very little care. The color contrast of the sunflowers and the barn is eye~catching / appealing!

It is indeed very inspiring. We do not have a red barn unfortunately but the neighbor had offered us an old trough and I have some sunflower seeds....
