Why does it seem to take forever for Christmas to get here and then it's over in the blink of an eye? Yet here we are, one day after Christmas and one day closer to the end of the year...but Sunday means good food and Hobart pictures...
Yesterday we had some yummy ham, homemade mac and cheese and some roasted broccolini...
A couple of glasses of Santa approved Apothic Rosé...
And 2nd Man made a pecan pie for dessert!
Hobart had a good Christmas...his new toys are now scattered about the apartment like discarded Christmas wrappings in the wind. But at least he had fun.
And of course, the star of the weekend post, here's Hobart...wondering where all the presents have gone.
Hope you all have had a great weekend!
Oh Please that mac-n-cheese looks yummy. Recipe please. The ham too. Merry Christmas to both.
ReplyDeleteHello! Thank you. It was yummy. I will get the recipe from him. He sort of just makes it up, half and half, butter, cheese etc but I'll see what I can get written down, ha.
DeleteYour meal looks delicious as always. I love good mac n cheese and that looks fabulous.
ReplyDeletethank you, that's very sweet. Yes, I love mac and cheese too. This was a smaller macaroni noodle than we're used to but it worked out well.
Deletegreat looking pecan pie. i can't believe that fall is over and now xmas too. and we still have hot weather. hobart is lucky. the w's got nothing. they won't play with toys so what are you going to do!
ReplyDeleteThanks, pecan pies are so good aren't they? I wished we had planted a pecan tree when we first bought the property it would be on its way to producing now. We broke the all time record high for Christmas here. Ugh. But colder weather coming next week. or so they say. The doggies don't play with toys? Well hey, at least they aren't running crazed around the house wreaking havoc, LOL!
DeleteYum.
ReplyDeleteIt was, ha. Thanks!
DeleteDinner looks delicious. I am going to have a backup dinner next year because the turkey is still solid. When Hobart finds his toys, it will be a second Christmas for him.
ReplyDeleteA backup dinner, not a bad idea I suppose for times like that. Yep, we've left the toys scattered around so he'll find them and think it's a new one, ha.
DeleteThe pecan pie that 2nd Man made - oh my goodness, how scrumptious! What a way to end that delicious meal!
ReplyDeleteHobart is daydreaming of all the fun he’ll have with his new toys!
Something about a good pecan pie, you can't go wrong (if you like pecans of course). He probably was daydreaming, ha!
DeleteEverything looks so delicious, right down to that pecan pie. YUMMY
ReplyDeleteI see Hobart wasn't on Santa's naughty list.
It was all very good and a nice Christmas Day meal. Hobart has had a few naughty list moments but in the end, she's still a sweet boy and a good kitty, ha.
DeleteThe food looks great and what good is a present unless it is scattered everywhere after Christmas!
ReplyDeleteRight? I think some of ours are still scattered around the apartment, ha.
DeleteYour dinner and dessert is drool-worthy!
