ROOF AND SIDING PART ONE INTERIOR NEW HOUSE UPDATE

This past week, they have been working hard and have put on a roof (well, the decking), siding, and windows.  We went out there Saturday and were blown away.  For this first part, we'll share pictures we took inside and then in part two, you will finally see the exterior with roof and siding from all the angles.

Standing in the foyer looking back at the front door.

This is the front hallway that goes to these three rooms.

Here is the study/2nd Man's office.

This is the end of the guest bath where there is a built in linen closet and the space on the other side is the foyer closet accessed from the other side.

Here is stepping back from the foyer, you can see that foyer closet we mentioned above on the right.

Here is the master bedroom as viewed from the door of the master bath.  It's big!

We are in the master bath, and this spot is where the double vanity will be.

Turning around, there is the walk-in shower (with window), the toilet room, and the large closet.

This is standing near where the kitchen island will be, looking back into the living room.  The open space is where the sliding wall/windows will be onto the screened in porch.

And this is from the screened in porch back looking back into the living room.

Here is the end of the kitchen where the sink/dishwasher will be.

Turning around, this is the dining room. It's hard to tell but these windows are big.  They are 5' high letting in lots of natural light (with a view of the orchard area).

Turning around from there, this is the hallway that will lead from the kitchen to the garage with pocket doors on each side for the laundry room and pantry.

Here is the garage!  Nice and big and we added the two transom windows to let in some light but still be secure.  The light coming into the left is the doorway to the back grilling/cooking porch.

And here is the pantry.  There will be a pocket door on here (like the one behind me in this photo that will be the laundry room) and shelves on each side with a counter/cabinet space on the back wall.

The next post in a couple of days will take you around the outside so you can finally see the exterior shape and design of our house.

To be continued, come back Wednesday to see the exterior from all the sides!

  1. You are going to be moving in very soon at the rate your home is coming together! Wow!
Maybe it's just the current perspective, but the hallways look narrow!

  7. This is so exciting as you have been talking about building a house for years now it's great to see it all come together. It's going to have loads of space for living and loads of storage, two key things in a home. Well done.

  8. this is so much fun to be a (small) part of. You two have made great choices. I'm with someone else who said they would kill for your pantry. I would also kill for that living room screened in porch area too, ha.
