DOUBLE RAINBOW

Recently, a friend of the farm that lives on some acreage not too far from ours, sent this picture that his wife took after a rainstorm...

Double Rainbow in Texas sky
...a double rainbow (not to mention a beautiful color sky).  So pretty and always neat to witness.  He sent it because he thought we might not have been out there to see it.  It was very kind of both he and his wife (who took the photo) to think of us and send it over.

So, a big thank you to JM and LM for sharing the photo with us and allowing us to share it with all of you!

Off to the farm today.  Apparently there has been no rain all week, 2nd Family tells us that mowing probably won't even be necessary as the grass has barely grown.  It will be a good time to check things out and maybe just roam around and make some plans.  Plus I might should water all the fruit trees!

Enjoy your weekend!

  3. That is such an absolutely gorgeous picture! I love how the rainbows seem to split the sky into pink on one side and purple on the other with the big mesquite in the middle.
I once saw a double rainbow in the Australian Outback - so beautiful in that stark region!
Rainbows always make me think of the Hawaiian version of “Somewhere over the Rainbow” sung by Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwoʻole - one of my favorite songs.

  4. That is a beautiful picture. Maybe not having to mow will give you a little time to enjoy the place after you water things.
