Here's a good one. It dates from WWI, and comes from Canada (those Canadians know how to eat, ha). This one urged civilians at home to eat more fish and vegetables so that the wheat, meat and fats would be saved for the soldiers and allies overseas.
This one is interesting though because it looks like it could easily be a healthy eating poster today. Eating more fish and vegetables and eating less wheat, meat, and fats would be a good thing.

DeleteThat is a beautiful poster! I wish I had some of it cooked right now. That is certainly healthful eating. It has gotten up to 46 today with prediction of rain from your direction. However, there is none of the predicted rain today. Maybe it will never arrive or just be virga. The air is damp and it's just cold enough to hurt!

ReplyDeleteThat's true, it's a good healthy meal for sure, fish and veggies. I think there is a bit of a warming trend...next weekend, as of today anyway, shows 60's, and NO RAIN! yay! Maybe I can get some stuff done outside, if it's not too squishy and wet.
