PAPRIKA PASTA AND MEATBALLS

2nd Man recently threw this meal together (I keep telling him he should try out for "Chopped" on Food Network, ha).  He made some homemade pasta and decided to add some Spanish Smoked Paprika to the dough.

It made a gorgeous looking pasta...

Such a smokey flavor and definitely a beautiful color...

While the dough was 'resting', he made some meatballs, sautéed them in a skillet with peppers and tomatoes and onions...

...and just ladled it over the pasta, sprinkled some Parmesan shavings on top and we were ready to eat.  It was so good and seemed like a great Autumn/Winter dish.

  1. I would never have thought of adding paprika to homemade pasta. Just beautiful! Can you give us your pasta recipe?

    1. It was really good. And this Spanish smoked is such a good strong flavor, smoky and lovely. He usually just makes it up as he goes along but i'll pin him down to a recipe next time he does it. :-)

    1. It was a random thought he had and it turned out so good. I am not sure how much he used, it might be possible to overdo it I suppose, but it's fun to experiment.
