Recently, Texan posted a picture of herself. Then Kev issued a challenge to show our faces. Kymber and Jambaloney posted theirs as did others...see what Texan started? LOL.
SO......without further ado....
Here I am!
Hopefully I haven't scared everyone off. Believe it or not, this is also my first "selfie" (hey, it only took 50 years to keep up with the youngsters). By the way, I was not driving, I was parked in the parking lot at the barber. It was taken shortly after getting my Summer buzzcut (I hate long hair in the heat).
I'm reminded of a line from the movie Titanic...when old Rose was looking in a mirror and said "the reflection has changed a bit". Looking at my selfie, yep, I would say it's changed a bit as well, ha!

2nd Man has no immediate plans to show his face, but I'll work on him.
Still raining today, sporadically, but it's been quite a bit at the farm. Staying in town, so we'll have a week with no visit and no work getting done. This Spring has been c-r-a-z-y weather. Great time, as sweet Gail reminded us, to relax and spend time planning and daydreaming.
UPDATE:
Since thanking everyone individually for the nice comments about my selfie would seem oddly self serving, I shall simply say:
You warmed my heart...

i always knew you were a handsome devil - i just didn't realize you were THAT handsome! jam says you look much like he imagined you would - kind and happy. i am so glad you took the challenge - i love getting to "see" friends from our blogs.
ReplyDeletemake sure to run over to Dani's blog as she put up a beautiful pic of herself but she is taking it down after today.
try and get 2nd Man to take the challenge so we can all "meet" him too.
sending much love! your friend,
kymber
Agreed!
Deleteyep just about how I pictured you handsome fella :-)
ReplyDeleteThe face & features just as I pictured, though I expected blond hair. The shirt, not so much. Quite a youthful (and handsome) 50 yo you make!
ReplyDeleteThere you are :O). My honeyman does the buzzcut and goatee as well. Its a good look :O).
ReplyDeleteLove the photo, looking good! Now I can put a face with your blog posts! :-) There's a new photo of me and the hubby on my blog today. It was taken yesterday - before I knew about this.
ReplyDeleteOMG, nice to see you! You are very handsome, if I do say so....thanks for introducing yourself to us.
ReplyDeleteBecca
Ah, and a pleasure to meet you too :) If I cover your smiling mouth with my hand, can still see the smile in your eyes :) Btw, are you driving back from your farm - I spy a car in the background lol
ReplyDeleteRMan is the same as 2nd Man - not mad about putting his face on my blog... So, t'is not going to happen.
Wonderful to meet you! Long time lurker, rarely comment, but read every day. Sure there is some white in your goatee, but you do not look 50, I will definitely say that. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed all the faces. Yours is quite handsome and as Dani said, your eyes are smiling, too. I like that...it's real.
ReplyDeleteIt took a long time to show my face. My first profile picture was a goat's behind, then a dog, then finally me.
Have a very blessed day.
Handsome photo of you!! You look just about as I’ve pictured you, with smiling, kind eyes. 50 looks good on you!
ReplyDeleteNice to see you! You are very attractive. I pictured you looking like Don Draper from "Mad Men" but I have no idea why!
ReplyDeleteYou look very nice--handsome with a twinkle in your eyes. I can tell you are kind. If you look at the top of my blog, you can see the back of my head in front of City Lights Bookstore in San Francisco.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Very handsome.
ReplyDeleteSomehow I never thought to picture you with a beard. Very becoming. You remind me of my older brother though you are younger than he is. I suppose I could change my daylily avatar to be a photo of me. Let me see how I can do that.
ReplyDeleteI did it! You can see me on my blog all the time now. Or it should show up here in the comment too.
DeleteYou and your smile (and smiling eyes) are as handsome and happy as your words.
ReplyDeleteLooking good! Thanks for taking part. I've really enjoyed this little challenge, loads of people have taken part. It's great to put faces to my fellow bloggers and friends.
ReplyDeleteI can see an ego growing! LOL. It's funny, while I wondered how you looked I never actually thought about your looks. I loved your blog from the first read and you can tell from the way you write that you are thoughtful, kind, gentle and considerate. I think your face does show all these things but then perhaps I am seeing that because that is how I see you when I read what you write. It is nice to meet you, so to speak.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous smile, and smiling eyes.
ReplyDeleteI think it makes it all so much more real when we actually see our blogging friends, very handsome indeed!
ReplyDeleteYES A FACE TO A NAME! its so much better to visualise someone when you read their stories!
ReplyDeleteThere is much mischief in those smiling eyes! You are my kind of a guy.
ReplyDeleteIsn't is amazing how we imagine people and when we finally *see* them they are often quite different than the photograph our mind has conjured. To my mind, you have always had dark hair, with a bit of a wave and worn longer. You also have had a slightly fuller face. You appear quite tall in the photograph you have posted. In my imagination you were about 5' 10". Who is this imposter you are trying to pass of as yourself! ;-P
Both the *real* 1st Man and the 1st Man of my imagination are very charming, and dare I say, handsome, and very hard workers. 2nd Man is a lucky man.
jaime
The gentle man I pictured all along. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteWell, I didn't picture you like that, but I'd say you're a baby babe who is kind and entertains me with his blog.
ReplyDeleteYou look just like I pictured you, very handsome! I bet 2nd man is as well. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteNice meeting; or I should say seeing you.
ReplyDeleteNice to have such a handsome face to go with the blog.
2nd man, stick your guns and don't have anyone force you into something that you don't want to do.
I, myself absolutely hate to have my picture taken and my family knows, No pictures are allowed to be taken of me.
Only share your photo when You are so ready to do so.
Very handsome, indeed! Nice to be able to put a face to the posts.
ReplyDelete1st Man,
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing a great 1st time selfie of yourself :-) Exactly as I pictured, you're adorable!!! respect 2nd Man's wishes!
Do to our prior employment BD Man and I don't put many current pictures out on the internet.

ReplyDeleteHandsome! …and your blog always reads with such a kind voice. I expect you are a very special person!
ReplyDeleteYour face matches your personality. . .kind :)
ReplyDeleteYou look nothing like I'd pictured, except that your face shows kindness, and gentleness that I already expected. Beautiful smile. Thanks for putting a face to your posts. Love your blog, is actually my favorite.
