I have always liked this picture. It's not necessarily the style of the chairs (though they sure look comfy don't they?). I think what draws me to it is the landscaping more than anything else. I like the idea of a little pocket of serenity in the midst of all the other serenity, ha.
Sure you can take a couple of chairs and plop them down in the yard somewhere, but I like a little area like this that looks like it's been carved out of the existing landscaping. Of course these were planted after the fact I'm sure, but it still looks like they came first (always the sign of good landscaping).
Enjoy the day!
Be inspired!
I can just imagine sitting there listening to the hum of nature, with an ice cold glass of lemondade and a good book :-)
ReplyDeleteAhh, that does sound great huh?
DeleteAn aquaintance of ours has a small sitting area at the end of his property. One walks from the house, past the veggie garden, through the orchard, coming upon a tall hedge with a circular opening, on the other side of which is the sitting area. A table and two chairs under a large tree, forest on the other side of a low, rustic fence. Peaceful and charming.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that idea. I like the idea of walking through the property TO a destination like that. Thanks for sharing that. It's a work in progress, we'll have to see what happens as it evolves. :-)
DeleteThey do look comfy but, I'm afraid I'd have a tough time getting back up. ;)
ReplyDeleteProbably me too. I bet they are comfy when you are IN them but yeah, getting out might be an issue (for some of us anyway, ha)
