FINALLY NEGATIVE

Finally.

Four days in a row of consistently testing negative, so we won't test anymore.  We'll save our remaining tests just in case we need them later.

This means we're safe to mingle in public again, ha.  We will not be going maskless in big groups though.  It was worse for 2nd Man, like a bad flu, for me it was more a mild cold, but either way, it's just no fun.

The weather kept us inside all weekend.  It rained ALL day Saturday and most of Sunday.  There are areas around town that have some minor river and bayou flooding but thankfully it's trailing off.  The next three days have about a 50% chance of rain. We look at that as it is just as likely that it won't, ha.

They say after midweek, we are moving into a drier weather pattern.  Hoping that if that if the chance it doesn't rain is that way at the farm, we could have a nice hot week where the ground will dry out and I can mow this weekend...and edge...and mow between the the raised beds in the orchard area, ha.

At least we don't have to worry about watering!

Now that we're better and I have more energy, I'll get back to replying to comments.  And hopefully more posts, though I haven't been to the farm to get some new ones out there but I'll see what we have we can use for a few posts until next weekend.

    1. Thank you, we are too. It put us a bit behind on projects but we'll get back to it all.

  2. Good news that you both are doing better, but yet at the same time you don't want to over due.
We received 1/2 in of rain yesterday
More rain and T.Storms moving in later today; early evening possibly.
You both take care. Enjoy your day and have a great evening

    1. Thank you much. Yes, we have had quite a bit of rain. One of our friends said they have had almost 8 inches of rain. Not sure at the farm yet, haven't heard from "J" but last we heard, her rain gauge was broken so we might not have an accurate number out there. So far today, rain today has danced around the farm but nothing.

  3. Did I do it wrong? When I was better, I tested once and was negative, so tested no more. Watch the expiration dates. We threw out six tests that were out of date and had to get new ones to actually test. We both had it bad, but mine was so much worse and longer lasting. I am glad your trees got plenty of water while you were indisposed.

    1. No, you did right. They say once is usually enough but sometimes a second one if you have the test is good to make sure you didn't get a false negative. We just had so many tests and you're right, some expiring in a couple of months, we decided to make sure, ha. Yep, it hits everyone so differently, glad you are over yours.

    1. Yes, was at the grocery store today and noticed more masks than usual. I wore mine. I don't want to go through that again. :-)

    1. Ha, yes, we do. It's always been "tropical-ish" but the last few years it just gets wetter and wetter...

  6. Glad that ya’ll are getting better. But still try to gradually work back up to your usual activity level.
I got about 3 inches of rain over the weekend. There’s water standing in all the low spots in my yard. But the rain sure perked up the flowers, garden, and grass.

    1. Thanks, we're trying not to overdo. The plants sure are happy, the people, not so much, ha. Though 3 inches of rain is pretty good for a garden and the flowers. Not too much not too little, just right, ha.
