SWEET DOG VISITOR

This is a neighbor's dog.  He periodically comes to visit us and when he does, he is usually glued to my side and follows me EVERYWHERE on the property.  If I get out of sight, he gets worried and comes looking for me.  Usually he's just walking beside me, almost like a guide dog.  If I stop, he stops and waits.

He's a sweetheart.  His name is Rebel.

I took his picture and when the shutter clicked, he did the little head turn to the side dogs do that is so freakin' adorable.

I told him I'd put him on the blog and he'd get comments from around the world, but he seemed unimpressed.

"Yeah, yeah, I know I'm cute..."

  1. Rebel may be training you. Watch out! Dogs are addictive. You will discover you can talk to him with ease and when he is absent, you will be wanting one of your own.

    1. I can so understand that. I was out there this weekend and he wasn't around and I looked for him. ;-( We'll have dogs for sure when we get out there full time.

    1. Yes, he does that stop and close the mouth and ears up look to see if someone drives past the road. Five seconds later he's panting and happy, but definitely vigilant. Even on our property which isn't really his, ha.

  8. He's beautiful. I would be lost without our dog, great companion, great rat catcher, great snake alert, great watch dog, I could go on and on. Something for the farm when you're out there permanently!

  10. I do love me a Shepherd. I learned to walk pulling myself up on the tail of ours. And also teethed on his very patient ears.

  12. Wow, you are lucky, he looks like a sweetheart of a dog.

Hey, right now you kind of have it like grandparents do, you get to play with him and have him around and then send him home at the end of the day, haha.

    Enjoy your puppy time!

    1. I am afraid you are correct. I think he's a mix but definitely a lot of shepherd in there somewhere.
