A SPIDER HALLOWEEN

Believe it or not, I photographed this spider at the farm last weekend.  What the heck?

Orange like a pumpkin...
With black spikes like a scary creature...

Yep, it's apparently Halloween alright!

Be safe and eat lots of candy!

Speaking of, we always like to ask, what is your favorite Halloween treat?

  1. What a perfect spider for Halloween! Really beautiful.

I was curious as to its species. I found this:

    and

It seems that there are color variations - white, yellow, orange, red.

Nature sure is wonderful and amazing!

    2. Isn't it though? Sometimes things we see look like they could be alien to this planet but here they are, but of nature. Thanks for the info. Glad to put a name with a "face", ha.

  9. The spider is appropriately orange, a good alternate for the ubiquitous pumpkin. I would hope never come face to face with this one. Anything chocolate is good for me. And Reese's are great.

    1. I was hoping you'd get to see. Pretty neat huh? I'll eat a piece here and there, and have a few favorites but if it's not Halloween, I don't think I ever just go and buy candy on purpose, ha.
