DUE TO AN INTERNET CONNECTION ISSUE, THIS WILL HAVE TO STAY UP AS MONDAY'S POST TOO, SORRY ABOUT THAT. MORE TOMORROW!
Cold today. Well, cold for us. Windy and just cold. Low 30's with "feels like" in upper 20's.
TexMex comfort food |
We stayed in town this weekend (see yesterday's post) and 2nd Man made a meal of tamales (made by a coworker) and then he made Mexican rice, refried beans and I whipped up some pico de gallo and served it over some sliced avocado. TexMex comfort food!
Warm Hobart |
hobart is imagining what it would feel like to be outside. i love a good tamale.
ReplyDeleteHe probably was, I think they can sense when weather's changing. Tamales are a staple down here this time of year. So good.
DeleteOh, boy ... You needed a good margarita to go with that meal!
ReplyDeleteOh don't you know it! We ended up with some wine but I wish we had had the stuff for some 'ritas. So good.
DeleteI wish I had someone to cover me up. It is 30s and damp here. I can feel it in my bones and I am in the house! Dinner looks good.
ReplyDeleteWell stay warm and safe. Lots of blankets, wear wool socks and just keep things as warm as you can.
DeleteWow, what a tasty meal!! Perfect for a cold weekend.
ReplyDeleteHobart looks so cozy covered up with his warm blankie. Smart kitty!
He was very warm. I think he slept there for several hours just like that. As happy as can be. Thanks it was very good on a cold day.
DeleteI'd say Hobart had the right idea on a cold day. He sure looks nice and comfy wrapped in his blanket.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking meal to have on a cold day.
Thanks, it was delicious for sure. Filling and comforting. We did like Hobart later in the day, napping with some blankets all warm and cozy.
DeleteHobart's living the dream.
ReplyDeleteHe is, ha. We remind him of that all the time, LOL.
DeleteI always tell my dog, "When I'm cold, you're cold." and then I cover him to make myself feel better. ha!
ReplyDeleteHey, we do what we have to do for them and for our own peace of mind, haha!!! Stay warm!
