HAPPY 4TH OF JULY

We're off to a 4th of July event, but will be home before traffic gets crazy. We are hoping to be able to see some of the fireworks from our balcony.

Hope you all have a wonderful and safe 4th of July celebration.
Lots of food, friends, family and fun!

  1. Love the vintage photo.
    Wishing you both a Wonderful and safe 4th of July.
    My husband had to work so I spent my time making homemade salsa; 3 qts. of which it all went in the freezer to be used on a later date for a big family gathering.

    1. We love the old vintage look of these holiday cards. I didn't know you could freeze salsa. We'll have to try that. I think we have a good recipe, but we just eat it when we make it, ha. I love the idea of saving it for later. Thanks!

    2. If and when you do decide to make and freeze salsa, make sure you use freezer containers whether it be glass or plastic. Myself, I use the wide mouth canning jars; making sure also that you leave about 1/2 - 1 inch air space for expansion; mark and date it and when ready to use, let thaw in the refrigerator.
      If you or 2nd man have good salsa recipe I hope it gets posted :}
      ( I like trying out different recipes :} )
