INSPIRATION THURSDAY, FARM FENCE

Those of you who are regular readers know that I have a love affair with fences.  Of course, do we have one yet?  No.  This is one of the reasons.  I just always find ones that I love.  Then I find another.  And another.  And my mind races at the endless possibilities.

So here is yet another.  Maybe it's the combination of of flowers, and plants and fence...or the trees and the fence...or the zigzag arrangement...or the fence itself?  Ha.  Not sure what this style is called, I think it's just a "split rail" fence, not in a straight line.  I do like the chunky look.

Someday, soon, we'll be deciding on fencing.  Of course, with different areas of the property that could actually use fencing, maybe we can do a little of all?

Yesterday was productive at the farm, mostly inside, but I'll share details and photos tomorrow.  Today is my blog day off, so enjoy your day, whatever you do, and I'll be back here tomorrow morning starting the day with a Friday Funny!

  1. I too love fencing made of real wood and handmade is best. My current secret garden fencing is made of livestock panel from the 1930's. All the wiring done by hand. Wish I were that motivated!

    1. I still love that you have a secret garden. I have a few spots I'm eyeing (for the future of course) for a secret garden. I think that's neat. Livestock panel that's wired by hand? Holy cow, they were much more motivated back then huh? LOL!

  2. Enjoy your day off. I love the fence you have pictured. I love the look of natural but I also enjoy the maintenance free aspect of vinyl fencing. I think for me, it all depends on the setting. Looking forward to the Friday Funny.

    1. That's true, it depends on your space I suppose. I have looked into vinyl as well. I do love the fact that it is maintenance free. That really counts for a lot. Hope you enjoyed the funny! :-)

  3. I'm sure Man2 will not appreciate me encouraging you but...Why decide? You have enough land now you could use several different types of fencing!

  4. Exactly what Linda said. You could become renowned for your eclectic fence collection. I think a lot of people like fences especially like this one and some of the more rustic ones you've shown us. Dream on!
