Today at noon(ish), I'm meeting the painter at the farmhouse!
Color Wheel
He's going to prepare an estimate for us for repairing the interior walls, sanding, and then painting it all.

Fingers crossed that we get a good estimate and we can move forward with someone who shares the same vision as us.  Please send good thoughts our direction!  If all goes well, we could have the house painted within a week or so and things will start happening fast, finally!

More when I return!

The guy was awesome!  So far so good!  He totally shares the same vision as us and he made some great suggestions for things we hadn't thought of doing, plus he had a way of not having to sand and still keeping the integrity of the details on the walls.  He also mentioned sanding and refinishing the floors, and making them look almost new, while still being 70+ years old.

Now we just have to wait for the estimate...
Please let it be affordable...
We could have a new interior within a few days of starting.
And a new interior means a blank slate for decorating!

  1. Good luck. Picking paint is never an easy thing! Can't wait to see what you come up with. :)

  2. It should be fun. We still lean toward the all white cottage look, and then add color themes in each room with accessories and furniture and such, but we'll see! Right now I just want him to not run screaming from the house. And of course a rea$onable amount of money...our budget is limited and we still have to buy furniture and appliances one it's all done. :-)

Please leave us a comment! I have some comment moderation on and of course will approve your comment relatively quickly. We love feedback and hearing what others have to share with us all. Please know that I can't always reply to it right away, but ALL comments are read. I will reply just as soon as I can so be sure to come back and see my reply.

Now, let us hear from you!
