Every Thursday we like to post a picture of something we've found online that inspires us to do something similar at the farm. Sort of our own blog bulletin board so that we can eventually look back and someday, hopefully anyway, recreate it...enjoy!
We've posted about this once (or twice) before. But they just keep coming back to haunt me, ha. Here is another old fashioned well water pump. Love this one painted in a bright red color. We think this would be such a fun focal point in the yard with plants around it, some flowers, etc. Heck, this shady area with a fern looks good too.
Maybe someday I can find one at a junkyard or someone who has one they don't need anymore.
Be inspired...and stay safe!
Me; I would put the red pump in a shaded garden and right along with a hummingbird feeder considering hummers are attracted to red, plus it would be a big benefit to keep the sun from shading the red pump. Reds & yellows really fade badly when placed in direct sun.
ReplyDeleteUsing a pump, you can even make a small water garden
That is really pretty!
ReplyDeleteThe pump among the ferns and other shade loving plants makes a very pretty combination.
ReplyDeleteWe have two squat red pumps, one purchased, and one that was the original pump for our cottage. They are now both lamps in our cottage living room. Nice and tall to read by.
ReplyDeleteKeep `am eye out for a dipper to drink from!
ReplyDeleteThis has given me a really good idea for how to get the water from underground tanks when there isnt enough sun for solar panels!
